The UV from the overhead hatches is fading cabin upolstery. I like Oceanair's Surface SKYscreen. Screen & shade in a selfcontained, handsome assembly. I have noticed several installed on a few new boats. Anyone have experience with use and durability of this product?

I have installed the Hatch shades

like the ones sold on this website on all my hatches. They look and work great, and with the reflective backing reducing heat in the summer. However, I have also installed cloth hatch covers(out of the Sunbrella the same color as sail covers, etc.) topside and placed 1/2 foam inserts to reduce the "morning rain" you get because of the condensation that occurrs with the temperature diffential in the morning. I remove these during the day or while sailing and simply use the inside hatch covers for privacy and heat reduction.

I've done the Oceanair

We put them two seasons ago and I wonder why I didn't do it sooner. I had a little problem with the fit on the two hatches in the main salon because of the non-flat surface of the headliner, but after some choice words they complied to my wishes. I like the privacy and the sun-block which helps the A/C. I purchased them through Boat US just in case I screwed up the measurements and knew I could return them.
