super cheap screens
quite a while ago I needed some screens for a small camper that had 'windows' that looked like they were scavenged ports from some kind of boat in reality, But I ended up digging out a couple of my moms old quilting/embroidery hoops, that were pretty much the right size putting screen between them and slipping them into the ports, worked pretty good, but after I found out she was looking for them, I decided it was time to give them back, ended up ripping some thin ceder to 1inch by 1/4inch strips running them through the planer to get them 1/8 thick, making a hoop that fit inside the port with one, then another hoop that fit into that hoop, and trapping some nylon screen between them, they work great, can still close the port with them in, and have been on the trailer for a few years, sold it a couple years ago and put new screens in for the guy. Oceanair
Oceanair roll-up screen/shade combinations available from Defender et al come in a variety of sizes and are great. Compact, low profile. They are pricey though. Just put a ~18" sq. unit in my Pearson 34 & it cost $160. In Maine you want good screens.
