Hi , We have just bought a 83 Catalina 27, and the hatch lifter is broken on it, just hangs down, tried fixing, but to no avail, has anyone ever replaced theirs with one from West Marine or Defender? I hate making new holes in the fiberglass, and would like to find one that fits the same holes......also, would anyone know the length? Our boat is over an hour away right now, until we move it up to our home port; and I would like to go ahead and get one, to replace it, on our next trip to the boat. Thanks, in advance, for any info.
