hatch leaks

Help, my hatch is leaking where the plexiglass meets the fiberglass part of the hatch. I'm talking about the main hatch, There is a piece of wood that prevents the plexiglass from sliding all the way out. This is where the water is coming in. Is there supposed to be a rubber seal there?

Is Wood Piece Short?

John, My 1995 H26 had the same problem and I found out that the wood piece which attached to the plexiglass sliding cover was too short - it is supposed to go all the way to the edges of the plexiglas cover. I talked to Hunter and they sent me a new wood piece which was slightly longer and covered the entire width of the plexiglass cover. I think Hunter realized they had installed a bad size which let water in. Check that out - and then talk to Hunter.

Silicone Solution

John, If Hunter won't provide you with the wood. Try marine silicone. I put a bead along the entire edge allowing to be flush with the channel. Has stopped my leak.Paul HS/V Linda Belle 95 H26
