Hatch in Saloon Roof.

I've been offered an aluminium/perspex hatch (about 12" x 18") and am pondering the feasibility of installing in it above the saloon, in the upper level, forward of the main hatch garage but behind the mast; rhe extra light/ventilation would be great.

I'm too far from rhe boat to check, but my biggest concerns are: -
It'll knacker the structural integrity?
Too much curve on the deck there to seal the frame properly?

Anybody done it? Any advice?

Bob,

A previous owner had installed a bowmar aluminium/lexan hatch in the
overhead. I haven't had any problems with leakage, and I haven't
noticed any structural deficiencies from walking around on the cabin
top. It is a nice touch adding lots of light and ventilation.
