One of the Hatch handles that secures the port hatch on our Hunter 45 CC has come off. This has happened before and through this Hunter Forum, I was told to try an epoxy type of Glue. That was about 10+ years ago and I need to re attach it. Problem is that I forgot the name of the glue. Has any one tell me the name of the glue.
Thanks,
Jeff

If you have the old handle can you re-install it with epoxy (1--year life sounds prettey good)? Would you consider replacing the portlight? Do you know the manufacturer (Lewmar?)

I have repaired mine with JB weld. Hold together with C clamp until cured. Light sand and wipe with acetone before gluing

Unfortunately I am five hours away from my boat and dont have a pic. However, I will tell you what I did after having several of the handles come unglued. I removed the tension screw on the handle, went to Ace hardware a bought a stainless flat head screw, washer and nut that was just slightly longer that the depth of port and handle and just slightly bigger. I drilled a hole thru the acrylic and the handle big enough and mounted using parts I bought. Has worked great and that handle will not come off and does not leak. Think I have done at least three others. No messy glue that doesnt hold.

Food for thought
