I would like to be able to open/close, lock/unlock my forward hatch from outside on deck on my '91 26s. Right now you have to loosen a wing nut from inside and turn a bracket out of the way. The good part about what I have now is there is nothing protruding out on deck to trip over. Any ideas? Thanks.

you will need to do some fabrication, but perko makes a keyed lock use on many hatches. the problem is the 4" drop to the cabin celing. hows your fabrications skills? I know of no easy bolt on lock for your needs.
