Still looking for the hatch gaskets for my H33, 1982
I phoned Hunter, and they asked me to read the code on the hatch: there is no code, othen the make: Bomar
One is smaller than the other, I need gaskets for both
Any one has had to replace his?

Thanks, any help will be appreciated

Hatch

Not sure about your boat model, but our 1989 H28 had Bomar hatches. Most marine stores carry replacement kits that will fit most common hatches. It worked for us, perhaps it will work for you. Easy to install with minimal tools.

Go cheap

I had the same frustrating problem and faced the prospect of spending $1/foot for something I wasn't sure would fit. I went instead to the hardware store, where I found a rather amazing array of closed-cell, self-stick foam weather stripping. I chose one that looked like it would fit, and it did. $5 for 30 feet. At that price, you could even buy a couple of styles and choose the one that seats best.

Best of all, it works. Installs easily, no glue needed, seats well, no drips. $Bomar$ vs. hardware store: no contest.

Also check McMaster's on line catalog for gasket material. I doubt this was custom made. You may find a match. Good luck

Thank you Rick D and Paul 356
When I phoned Hunter, they told me to look at the code number on the hatch
I am squint now for looking, but all I saw is "Bomar"
They don't seem to relate a model of the boat with the gasket needed, they say they have nothing on record
The hardware store sounds great!
I will take a piece off and try match it
Thanks again!
