Have a 1985 Catalina 30 - original owner. Would like to replace gasket securing down-sloping hatch at v-birth. The gasket, when one looks at it from the blunt end, resembles a snowman or figure 8 with the smaller diameter portion fitting into a grove that surrounds the hatch. I tried Catalina parts but they no longer stock this item. Has anyone developed a source that will sell 8'.
Went to a rubber sales outfit today but they do not stock....however, said they would order me a 200' roll. Ouch!! Any help would be appreciated. Thanks,
George Brown

Try Hatchmaster
A friend used them to rebuild a leaky hatch and spoke highly of them.
I just dealt with them on a replacement handle for a hatch and the experience was terrific.
Sent an inquiry on a Sunday night ant it wasn't 5 minutes later I had a response.

They can do replacement of crazed or cloudy glass too.

I went to one of the big box home improvement stores and bought a high quality window/door silicone based stick on gasket. I used a 3M product called 3100L gasket adhesive to glue it in place after cutting to fit. I bought 3/4 inch wide and 3/8" thick. Going on 5 yrs now and it works great.
