I have an 86 hunter 23. When I got it, it a piece of plywood covering the campionway. I would like to replace it with the tinted plexiglass. Hunter does not have the demisions. Could someone give me measurements and maybe a picture of it so I can fashion the teak prts for it. jerritmcoward@cs.com Thanks

I am confused , I would be happy to helf you but it seems to me the best way would be to measure your opening, I ordered new boards from hunter a few years ago and when they arrived they did not fit, I sent them back and waited on the new ones/ when they arrived they did not fit, then I made them fit, they swore both sets were the correct boards but you want a nice fit and using someone elses dimensions is not he best way to do it, good luck , MIke B

Just take your plywood to a plastics shop.

Jerrit: If you just take your companionway plywood into a plastics shop they can make one for you. Just a suggestion. Have them make it in two parts, this makes it much easier to store when not in use. They may have to put an overlapping lip on the top panel to keep out the water and keep the panels from slipping past each other. If the plastic is thick enough you could just have them bevel it so water will not come in when it rains and blows. It's better to use your own measurements If they are too big, you can take them down. If they are too small, you cannot make them bigger. Do remember that the plastic will expand when it is hot so too tight is not good either.

I need to explain better

I am looking for the size on the plexiglass that slides forward on the top of the campionway. It seems that are some slideways where the plexiglass slides forward into a fiberglass hatch and that whole assembly lifts up to let more air into the cabin. I am trying to figure how thick the orginal plexigalss was and how thick/long/wide the "slide guides" that attached to the plexiglass. I could jerry rig something, but wanted to do one thing right on getting the boat back in proper order. I have I now confused everone?
