Just purchased an O'Day 19. The forward hatch cover has a tube-rod combination to allow setting the hatch opening, with a wing-nut around the tube end, presumably to tighten down on the rod that slides inside. The tube on mine does not have anything inside to compress on the rod.
Is any o-ring of the correct dimensions what is supposed to fit in there, or is there some special part that is supposed to be inside to squeeze the rod and prevent it from sliding when the wing nut is tightened?
