The fiberglass sliding companionway cover on my boat has broken along the edges on either side. These edges extend in to the grooves on the wood on the top of the cabin and keep the cover in place. The are about an inch or so wide and run the length of the cover. They have simply broken off. Any idea how to repair this problem?

Fix for the problem
Check out Judy Bluhorst's Catalina 27 web page, she addresses part of this problem on her boat. 20-20 hindsight solution is to put some support under the lips of the hatch before they get broken.
