The telescoping arm thingummy that props up the forward Bomar hatch cover on my 1983 Hunter 34.5 was bent when I bought her last summer. It appeared that the hatch cover was smacking against the deck fitting next to the hatch, if allowed to drop past verticle. I had been meaning to look into it, when a few weeks ago the wind caught the hatch and the arm broke. I don't know if the "hatch riser arm" I saw in a retail catalog is what I'm looking for. But I am averse to paying $64.99 for such a simple device. Any ideas?

Thimgummy replacement

Boat US has replacements for @ @25.00. However, all I want is the split ferrule to replace my worn out ones and I'm adverse to spending $25 for a $2 part. Hope this helps.

Try Pompanette on the internet if your hatch is a Bowmar hatch
