Hatch Components

I posted this request earlier in the year and came up empty. I need a hatch component like the one in the photos. I have contacted Hunter and Bomar and neither one have information on this part. Can anyone help me in locating this piece. I have a 1993 33.5, possibly you all know of a scraped 33.5. Any help is appreciated.

First of all it may be helpful if you indicate the manufacturer of the hatch. The picture in the left shows what seems to be a cracked arm but I'm not sure what we are supposed to note on the second picture. It is quite possible that someone in this forum may know of an h33.5 that is being parted out and has the hatches intact, but it is very unlikely. I would seriously consider trying to repair the part with a strong epoxy or trying to design or adapt a replacement part. Get the measurements and try to match them to a currently available part that would not require to many modifications. Calling marine salvage shops may not lead anywhere as these hatches loose identity once they are separated from the boat. They would be best to describe by size, shape, materials and name of the manufacturer.

I'm Looking At The Same Strut Support...

... right now on the vent hatches on my 40.5. As I recall, they are Lewmar, but it is my recollection that the hardware spec's were lost in a fire years ago (it's possible I'm thinking of another manufacturer though). Anyhow, if you take this to a good machine shop, they can whip you up something functionally the same, for a price, of course. Good luck! Hope I'm wrong and the good folks here can locate your part.

Is it "plastic"? Must be since no one mentioned welding it.
