Gut a new v berth hatch on my 94 h26. Got it from hunter. It has holes predrilled for a hatch adjuster, but the one I got from west marine would not work due to being too long. Any one have one on their 26? If so where did you get it and hoe long is it. Also where did you mount the end of the thing, on the inside ridge or on the ceiling of the boat. #2 put a new fan up on the bulkhead on the starboard side on the hatch side of the curtains. worked fine as far as airflow prior to mounting but once up no air movement. Any ideas where to put it or what is wrong. If I have to move it how do you cover up the holes? Thanks all from a distressed boat owner!

Hatch adjuster

YOu can orde rone from Hunter or if you have the old one, match it with one from the marine cataloges. Try to use the same holes. If the holes on the boat are stripped out, drill out, clean and put an epoxy filler in. YOu may have to put paper back in the hole so the filler will not go into the void area between the deck and the ceiling liner. As for holes in the ceiling, fill with epoxy filler. Touch up with the beige gel coat but you will need to get some from Hunter or if you can take a chip of it to an automotive paint store, then they should be able to match it. As for the location of the fans, I usually have seen them place toward the sides of the boat adjacent to the compression post and facing toward the rear. Crazy Dave Condon
