??? There is a shiney springey piece of metal inside the mast of my 222 O'Day where you push the sail slides into the grove of the mast allowing you to fix the sail to the mast. It keeps the slides from comming back out of the track. Mine is bent, wrinkled, and not nice. Has anyone ever replaced this tang? And if so where would I look to buy a replacement. It is attached with two rivets. I e-mailed Dwyer Mast, but have not received a reply. Thanks in advance for help.

Chuck, If you have a winch mounted on your mast, you could use a short piece of 3/16" braid line to hold your sail slides from coming out, by tying it around the mast above the winch and under the first sail slide, with a slipped reef knot. I've been doing it for years and it works great for me. My mast is Z-Spar with internal halyards. I take it that your boat has a different mast than mine, as my mast doesn't have that little shiny do-Hickey that you mention. Joe
