The original Jabsco doesn't work very well (It is basically new and I think it is a piece of crap - pun intended). Questions are: 1) Is everyone else having the same problems with Jabsco manual heads? a) Hard to flush (impossible for little kids to finish thier business) b) Hard to pump on dry bowl feels like alot of back pressure c) even on dry bowl - tends to 'leak' water into bowl. 2) Has anyone put a raritan Cricket on a newer Cat 36MKII? a)How did it fit b) How do you like it. (how Jabsco continues to keep selling so many of these manual heads amazes me !! Shame on the manufacturers continuing to put them on boats when they could spend another $70 or so and have a 1000 times better product)

You're better off buying a different toilet, but--

It sounds like you have yet ANOTHER one with a defective dry/flush valve. It hangs up, creating exactly the problems you describe. Since the head is new (less than a year old?), it's still under warranty. So you might want to call Jabsco and get a new pump assembly for it for nothing and wait till it's out of warranty to spend money for a new one. Or, give it back to your dealer and tell him you'll pay the difference for an "upgraded" toilet and let him swap 'em out as a warranty issue. Check out the dimensions and other specs for the Cricket on the Raritan website at http://www.raritaneng.com Everything you want to know about it is there, including the complete owners manual.

PS into the toilet

Ha! Gotcha with that title, didn't I? Practical Sailor reviews all the major marine toilets this issue. I recall they liked the Raritans and the higher-end Jabsco, but panned all the low-end models.
