has anyone installed a Raymarine EV100 on a hunter 356? If so where did you place the components and how were the cables run?
I have to replace my st4000+ wheel pilot. I already purchased the raymarine ev100 wheel pilot... but where to put the controller and the sensor unit. And how to get those cables to the instrument pod at the helm?

Have a 356 and had no auto pilot before I installed the EV100.
Placed the ACU and EV-1 on the front wall of the lazarette. Ran the wires back and up the tube to the standard instrument pod with ST60 wind/speed/depth with ST/STng adapter and new P70 control head. Power was from ACU to breaker in panel.
Needed to take up floor panel to run the cable up to the 5 connector block. All talks to the Axiom 9 that I installed also.

Thanks Jeff!

Do you have any problem with the batteries interfering with the sensor?

When you get a chance, could you send pictures from your lazarette?

thanks!

Yes, you need to take the cockpit floor panel up and in my case used the port side tube to run the cable up. Used the power for the P70 head off of the existing SeaTalk tie in for the ST60 instruments via SeaTalk/SeaTalkng connector. ACU is power wired to breaker in panel.
Don't have a picture of the lazarette but the EV-1 is under the shelf to the outside and the ACU is right inboard if that as high as possible. No interference from battery but I also have an Electroscan and have a 12 volt On/Off battery switch that is also on the front wall and when the Electroscan runs the autopilot does a crazy Ivan. I am adding a larger battery bank under the dinette and am rerouting that switch to eliminate the issue.
Picture of cockpit mid installation, see wires on left side.

How did you route power cable from the lazerett to the dc panel?
