Hunter 27 Harrison lake
Hello again every-one, it has been awhile. So I bought a 1980 Hunter Cherubini 27 a few months back and have been busy getting it ship shape. I have not sailed before but am determined. I have been out doing the trial and errorr method, not the best idea I should add. But I have been getting advice from others who do have experience on the lake. The problem is I am 14 hours away from my boat and it makes it hard to learn the lake and boat in one week spurts. Does anyone know the lake and area because I really want to have someone go out with me and show me how to not do things the wrong way. Catching up with experienced sailors at the marina seems to be hit and miss so far. I know this is a long shot but I figured what the heck, nothing beats a try but a fail right. I am leaving for the boat on the 26th and will be there for two weeks. Any advice or help would be greatly appreciated.

Hello Troy and welcome to the sailing family ! I am not familiar with Harrison Lake but I would suggest you try to contact someone at Harrison Yacht club or Harrison Marina to introduce yourself and see if you can arrange to meet somebody for some lessons. Sailors are genrally a friendly bunch and if you did establish contact rather than the hit & miss method I'm sure you would get more out of it. Good luck and have a wonderful 2 weeks.
