(2004 H36) I recently developed a leak coming from the hard cover over the locker in the aft cabin. I need instructions/suggestions on removing this cover to expose where the leak is entering. Thanks in advance for any and all assistance.

Hi Rasselas,
Do you have pictures of what you're referring to? I'm sure there are members here who already know what you mean, but it would be nice to see it.

Good luck, I'm sure you'll get your answer soon.

Are those buttons plastic press buttons or painted metal screws? They look like plastic press buttons, in which case, you will likely need to replace them after pulling them out.
It looks, to me, like those two buttons hold it in place from swinging down and out of a slot on the inboard edge.

This place is filled with Hunter owners. Im so surprised no one has joined the discussion, who actually knows something.

@Crazy Dave Condon is a retired dealer who knows these boats well. I just tagged him with the '@' symbol, so maybe he'll get the call.
No new head liner for Christmas? I hope it was a merry one anyhow. Have a happy New Year.

If those are "standard" caps over the screws, then: The caps are simply trim. Take a screwdriver and GENTLY pry the cap off from the edge, it should snap off (it's like a plastic "mushroom" cap). Then it will expose a screw head. There will be a special washer that actually engages the cap. Don't lose the pieces, you can then reinstall the caps after you reinstall with the washers in their places.

The liner may be attached with some velcro, or various other methods.
