Happy American Thanksgiving from your friends "up here" in Canada. 
Happy Thanksgiving to all of you and your families. Turkey just about ready with all the fix'ns; stuffing, apple pie, etc., then head for the boat for some water time. Forecast looks, well fabulous.

It just went in at our house. It will be about 90 more minutes. The juices will begin to flow and the smells will fill the kistchen.. My mouth will water and I’ll be forced to get some wine to help out… I really do believe Julia Childs knew the right way to be a cook in your own kitchen…

Toaster oven T-day feast this year. Still great! Giving thanks may be one of the most healthy things we can do. Blessings on all!
We had a big spread… 21# Turkey in the oven, stuffing, greenbean casserole, mashed potatoes, gravy, corn, rolls, a nice red and white wine, followed by pumpkin pie, pecan pie, or chocolate chip cheesecake and coffee…
Both sons and their wives, my wife’s father, and one of my daughters-in-laws mom…plus my wife and I.
So many things to be thankful for this (and every) year..

A number of years ago we decided we would celebrate Thanksgiving on Friday instead of Thursday. Everyone has both days off and it gives us all day Thursday to prepare for Thanksgiving dinner. All the "family obligations" get eradicated, the "other side" can simply just have their Thursday and then our kids can come to our house for our Friday dinner.
The amount of stress removed to have everything done and ready for Thursday became a secondary benefit such that all my family now has just kept on with this tradition. So Thanksgiving for us is today....
