Bill, My system consits of a ST 4000 Wheel auto pilot, a ST 600R Handheld remote control, and a ST60 Tridata Unit. I used the 600R Handheld down below, at my Navigation Table as a repeater of Sea Talk information and a 2nd control unit for my auto pilot. I recently lost my ST 4000 auto pilot to a lightning strike or power surge. It has been removed and sent to the factory. My Tridata Unit is working fine. My ST 600R remote control is displaying Sea Talk Failure. My question, While I wait for the factory to repair the auto pilot, can the Handheld remote still be used as a repeater. Is the Handheld remote control unit hooked up wrong, (once again, it is reading Sea Talk Failure), or does it require the auto pilot to function. Your input is greatly appreciated. Daddy's Dream
