Why?
Have you read all the archive information about starting a Yanmar by hand? Probably impossible although I guess it has been done. Also in the archives you will find a photo essay where the owner modified one to go through the companionway steps. From those photos I think you could see how easy it would be to make one. You could also write or call Torresen or Mack Boring, two of the biggest Yanmar dealers. http://www.mackboring.com/ http://www.torresen.com/ I have one for my 2QM20. I use it to slowly turn the engine over when adjusting valves. Could just as easily use vise grips.
