We are replacing the anchor rode, halyards, jib/genny & mainsheets on our Hunter 33 (Cherubini). If anyone could assist as to the recommended lengths as well as the most appropriate sizes for longevity, strength, & hand friendliness, we would be in your debt! I'm sure there are the expensive (considered best by many) and the most cost efficient, but safety is the over-riding objective here, and will not be sacrificed for price. So, if anyone can give any experience based advice, please do. We are very thankful as always, to the loads of kind assistance from this site. Bob

Halyards

As you have doubtless read already, spectra halyards are far and away better and safer than double braid. 3/8" spectra is a great size and will more than handle the load and stretch problem that double braid simply cannot. As for the length, 2.5 times the mast height will work well for all masthead halyards.
