Getting ready for the upcoming season. Noticed that the wooden block underneath the cam cleat on the cabin roof just aft of the handrails was disintegrating. Of course when I tried to loosen the screws on the cam cleat they sheered off, the cam cleat fell apart, ball bearings went everywhere - oh well that's another story. I don't think that is a teak piece of wood. It's a pretty good size block (about 2"x2"x3.5")and of course I can't find any teak that size if that is what it is. Anybody know what kind of wood that could be? Also thought about replacing with a teflon block but I don't have a clue where to find a chunk of teflon that size. Anybody been through this before?
