To anyone interested in the previous "mystery hallway leak" question.... Good news, the sailboat shop determined it wasn't from the keelbolt or keel housing (phew!). However, we still don't know where it's from. They tightened the forward knotmeter

Check original posting

Lisa, Have you checked your original posting for the responses to your question? Here is a copy of the response I posted to your original question: Check under the V-berth, on some of the older C22's there are 2 thruhulls that were for the old style direct discharge marine head. When I purchased my 1973 C22 # 1909, 9 years ago it still had the head in it. The first thing I did was replace it with a porta potti, and capped off the intake and discharge thruhulls. If you have the remnants of these thruhulls and they leak the water would come out through one of two holes near the floor on the front bulkhead of the V-berth. If the leak is on the upper end of the pipe and valve to these thruhulls which is located above the waterline It will only leak while underway. Barry Broyles C22 # 1909 "Brighteyes"

OK Lisa !!

Now then, Time to check the following and I'm sure I will be leaving something out here so I'm sure others will chime in with the rest. First check your outboard motor bracket mounting on the transom where it bolts thru the hull and look for leaks around the bolt holes. Also stern ladder mounting holes if you have one. Another likely place is thru deck fittings that enter the hull. Along with any thru hull fittings such as knotmeters. This may need more then just tightening. They may need to be resealed with fresh bedding compund 3m 5200 seems to out perform everything else I've tried. So there are some ideas. Let us know what you find. :) Dave LaPere

Water in floor pan

Dave: Lisa's first posting about the leak said that the water was showing up in the center walkway cabin floor. Barry Broyles C22 # 1909 "Brighteyes"
