Hello all. Has anyone replaced your lower main and/or jib haliard sheaves? Mine are kind of cracked and squeaky, and I was considering replacing them, so any advice regarding suppliers or lessons learned would be appreciated. Honestly, I can't even figure out how to remove them from the mast, so I might wait until my next haul-out unless any of you guys can give me a clue. Thanks in advance - Rick

Halyard Sheaves Replacement

Rick, I replaced one a few years ago. I was directed to Rig-Rite in RI and they had them in stock. Mine was a Z-Spar mast - probably yours is also. I think the web site is rigrite.com (or rig-rite.com. Give them a try.

Thanks

Thanks for the info. And I can't believe that I misspeled 'halliard;' Twice. Once in the title, and then again in the text of my post. Wait... I think I just misspeled 'mispelled.' Or is it 'misspelled?' Yikes, I'm SO embarrased. Thanks again - Rick

Bought 4 last year

Part# NG1-4 from Rig Rite 2 5/16 X 9/16 with 3/8 axle hole. $15.00 each. All sheaves are the same, top or bottom. Loosen the lines, pry pin head out with flat screwdriver, line up and tap back in...easy!

Thanks Patrick!

I was hesitant to go at the pins with a sharp instrument without guidance from someone who knew what they were doing! And thanks also for the supplier and part #. Thanks again - Rick
