A while back I posted about getting a 12V hair drier for my Fiancee. After many debates and a lot of research we ended up getting a hair drier.

Of course it was a bit more complex that your "normal" 12V hair dryer so I had to get a power strip for it:

I promised that I would let everyone know how it worked and if my Fiancee liked it.
The hair dryer worked very well. It is a power-sucker so I made the strip connect directly to the batteries with battery cable clips. The rule is that the engine has to be running for the hair dryer to be on!
My Fiancee really likes this product. It does dry her hair descently. It isn't exactly like what you have at home, but it does work well (more like a travel hair dryer).
I would HIGHLY recommend this product for anyone shopping for a hair dryer that they can use on the hook. It does what it needs to do.

I have derived the opinion that when I am out on the boat it is a vacation and it is nice to have certain creature comforts. This makes the voyage much easier on the fiancee and it is just one more comfort that I can give her. Anything that we can do to make cruising easier on our partners is well worth it because a happy cruising partner means that they will keep coming back. It is much nicer to have someone on board and my fiancee already is learning to control the boat under power when I set the anchor and pull the anchor. She is also very helpful and she is glad to lend a hand when ever I ask.
