With all due respect the original cockpit table on the h450 is a little on the cheesey side. Has anyone out there replaced it with a new one? Maybe teak? If so, is the new one functional?
My problem with the table is that when opened, there are no side cleats to prevent things from sliding off the table. The starboard is sure slippery. Anyone have any ideas? I haven't figured out how to attache something to solve this and still be able to fold up the table.Bob BassS/V Toucan Dream
I replaced the table with one from our chandlery. It has fiddles, excellent hardware, matched the teak and holly sole of the cabin, and was almost like a piece of art in the cockpit. They're great tables - more $$$ than the plastic variety, but in my experience, worth it.
I just go a head a spill a little of what ever we are having on the cockpit floor. I figure something is going to end up there anyway then don't worry about things tipping off the cockpit table. My wife still insists on using non-skid on the table. It works, its cheap but still can't resist the wake from the idiot that just ripped by you in his babe-machine!
