What letter are your max prop settings ?I love my MaxProp, especially in reverse. Try changing your pitch. I normally run 2000 rpm at 6 knots comfortably.
I think you do not know how complicated the assembley of the prop it is, it is impossible to do under the water !You should have 1.5"-2" gap between the prop and hull. Adjusting the pitch is easy and can be done either in or out of the water.
do you have de 40 hp engine ? these are my settings too but i can hit 4000 rpm and i feel i am under the pich i need, can you overreved your engine too ?I forgot to mention, "X"= N and "Y"= D
Not to be a wise butt, but you should actually check your RPM with a strobe or hand held, just sayin.....do you have de 40 hp engine ? these are my settings too but i can hit 4000 rpm and i feel i am under the pich i need, can you overreved your engine too ?
I wish I would have known that before I did it 50 or 100 timesI think you do not know how complicated the assembley of the prop it is, it is impossible to do under the water !
If you have a Max Prop Classic, I guarantee it didn't take "a couple minutes."I do know, and had my diver change it when he did my bottom. Only took a couple minutes, he didn't even charge for it.
Call MaxProp and see what they recommend.
Considering that I am a PYI-recommended Max Prop installer, I doubt that.I missed typed, I have a 54hp Yanmar. I can't hit 4000rpm even going downhill with the wind.
Fstbttms, maybe you need to change divers![]()
