H41 motor blidge

hi to h 41 owner, i need to ask why the water coming from my shaft will stay forever in my blidge under the engine?
This blidge is not connected to the main one ? Or i have a plugged drain?

The engine bilge on many boats is intentionally isolated to preclude oil from getting into the main bilge potentially being pumped overboard. Many Hunters of that era fit that description.
