Has anyone encountered difficulty keeping the center triangle pad in place. What were your solutions? Was there an original equipment support bracket or does it just ride on the lip?

Thanks

We have a plywood triangle that supports the cushion. Could be PO made. Never noticed the filler moving but. We don't normally use the center filler. Not even on the boat for ths cruise.

My 30 has heavy duty velcro on the triangle and the support lip, I sleep on the boat all of the time and the piece never moves.

My original v-berth insert has a hard bottom so I am not understanding Bill's reply. Mine just sits on those two support strips and I can climb on it without a problem. Velcro might be your answer if you have a bad fit.

Thanks,
Mine sits on the two rails but slides and falls, my H30 never had this issue. I may add some small wood dowels and corresponding holes.

The piece was cut too small. Measure and make a new one out of plywood and take the cushion off and install it. It took me 30 years to figure it out and it completely fixed the problem.

Mine sits on the rails and the starboard bulkhead keeps it from moving aft. Ha a big problem with the insert on my H33 and had to add dowels to keep it in place.

I'm modifying the forward cabin now. Ripped out the starboard side bunkbed and bureau, then added plywood base to turn it into a full v-berth. I narrowed the triangle area by making the starboard side of the berth wider. Although I haven't completed it yet, the plan is to hinge the triangle filler to the starboard platform. When it's hanging down, it acts like a cabinet door to the small stowage space there, and when I want to go to bed, I just raise it up and secure it to the port side with 2 long sliding bolts.

That's the plan, anyway!
