I recently upgraded the jib furler to a Furlex unit and had the CDI on hand. I shortened it an passed it over the existing stay and by adding an outhaul and a furling line was able to keep it self tending. To the clew of the sail i attached an outhaul line and passed that thru a block attached to the end of the boom. The line is then brought fowared to another block attached to the bail under the foward end of the boom. Then both the outhaul and the furling line are lead thru several pairs of fairleads into the cockpit and are controlled by two spinlock sheet stoppers. Hope this picture helps
