That is a 1984 model, although the ad says 1983. (I wonder what hull #?) I can't say I like the modifications to the interior - that table looks big enough for a model railroad! I think the price is going to have to come down before that one sells...

How is your summer going Phillipe? Any cruises to Snake Harbour or Deux Montagnes?

Hi Everyone

I don't know what boat this one is but it doesn't look like a Cherubini although it has some Hunterisms. If it is a Cherubini it has been heavily modified as there are too many discrepancies.

Jim, this is not to correct your comment as you have done considerable research for your database, I suspect much more than I have. It will be interesting to find out what boat it is.

Thanks for the discussion.

John, upon closer examination, you are quite right - it is definitely not a Cherubini Hunter. It isn't a 37 Legend either. It looks like one of the later Cort Steck designs, but I am at a loss to identify it! Hunter 34?

Definitely is an early 80's Hunter 34.. Looks like it has the aluminum frame windows and large mast step

Thanks for the positive ID Claude! There is a 34 at the marina where I haul out for the winter - nice boat and I should have recognized the one in the ad. There are a lot of similarities to my '83 Hunter 37 Cutter, but the toerail and stanchions are very different. Also the way the chainplates are arranged in the main cabin. But the way the winch pockets and the teak step at the stern are done remind me of my boat. Hatches and other hardware tale the tale of Hunter 'cousins' from the same era.

Very first picture tells you it is an H34. No mistaking those lines and the blue striping.

Hey Jim, we where supposed to go for a 2-3 weeks sails to the Thousand Islands, but we had some to change our plans at the last minute. Mathurin II won't go very far this year, I live in Sherbrooke now, so it's harder to drop by for an afternoon sail...

Furthermore, I'm looking at a few boats nowadays...

I have...or had...the same kind of striping on my 37C - probably what confused me in the first place! I think Cort Steck designed the 34 'in the Cherubini style'. It certainly has some similarities, as John pointed out.

You should move her down to Lac Champlain!

The only two on your list that are my favourites are the Hallberg Rassey and the Valiant and you will pay a lot more for only a little more boat than you have now (à mon avis...).

Since you now have to commute to your boat anyway, come down to Nova Scotia and go for a sail on mine!

I didn't think it was a 37 in the first shot. The bow is wrong, but the shot of the transom made it clear that it a 34. I wonder what they do on the table?
