H36 lpg locker removal?

Has anyone removed the dual LPG tank holder pan or bucket, not sure what it's called, from the LPG locker? The LPG locker is the aftmost starboard locker and happens to be over the holding tank in our '08 h36. I need to change the pump out and vent hoses and access to both ends of these hoses is impossible through the transom lockers or the hatch in the aft berth bulkhead. I can see the bottom of the tank locker from the hatch in aft berth bulkhead, and the LPG tank holder pan appears to be bedded in the locker, as if there were options (pans for one big tank vs two smaller tanks, or a cng tank maybe). Is there other access to this area that I'm not aware of?
Thanks
Dan

I have a Hunter 356, I don't know if the newer 36 has the same construction as mine. On the 356 there is a removable panel in the aft berth to access the area above the holding tank.
I removed the propane locker by taking out about 6 screws at the top of the locker. The propane hose, wires need to be released. Also there is a drain hose in the bottom of the locker, I released the hose clamp on that through the the cockpit shower hole. The whole propane locker then just lifts out.
Hope this helps, Bob

Thanks Bob. I didn't consider removing the cockpit shower to see if I could reach anything from there. Thanks for all of the info. You should look at the last photo of the pumpout thrudeck fitting that a '09 36 owner (Meeka) posted in the Marine Sanitation and Plumbing Fourm at the end of a Macerator thread I started on Monday. Completely corroded to the point to where I don't see how the pumpout hose stated attached!

My 07 H-36 has a nice removal panel in the rear berth pretty much the length of the bed and have been able to get at most things in that area.
I think the 356 propane locker can be removed but don"t think the newer 36 can be removed.

Nick,
Can you provide some detail on removing that panel? I can't count the times that I have had to stuff my torso through the 1'x2' removable panel that is midships along the rear berth.

Maybe in 08 they changed that panel or rear berth
different than my 07,mine is maybe 2' x 4' and is not easy out or back in for sure.
Mine has 2 sliding locking stainless pins and than raise it and push top of panel hard to get it to move and yes a real pain to get it to move any witch way.

I looked at the propane locker and saw screws on top so I guess it can be removed
but sure it has sealer in between.
Look into Jim Seamans Java web site and do know he took his out to add Davits
and some other mods on that locker.

I wanted to remove the propane locker liner on my 356 to replace the holding tank. I never could figure out how to get the locker pan out. I didn't want to cut up the boat and I didn't want any part of cutting up the tank in place.

I'm very jealous of your 2x4 access versus our 1x2. I think I could get most of the way thru that. The '08 is set up with two barrel pins or locks and is easy to remove, just impossible to get to much of anything on the other side. I can see and visually inspect things like the holding tank pump out line and vent line, but can't reach it to service unless I go thru the LPG locker..sigh...

I have added a vent line filter and removed the holding tank sending unit a few times.
Did you look at Jim Seamans /Java's web site he does have the info for removing
the propane pan with photo's and lot's other photo info mods on the 356.
