H36 Anchor Locker with no ring for bitter end

I was supprised that my H 36 does not have a place to secure the bitter end of my anchor line. I would like to add a windless and would appreciate helpful info from anyone who has made either mods to a 33-36-37. I dont want to compromise my v-berth in the process.

Jim, My 30....

Jim,My H30e has a "U" clamp thru thru the bottom of the anchor locker to hold the bitth er end. This clamp does go into the v-berth and does need to be rebed every few years. Do you need pictures.Pat McCartin1979/80 H30 "Therapy"Lake Lanier, GA

Bitter end

Our H36 also does not have a ring to secure the bitter end. Since the forward docking cleat/bollard is centered directly between the anchor bow roller and the anchor locker, I make sure that I secure the anchor rode to the cleat before letting go the anchor. The previous owner installed a windlass immediately aft of the anchor locker. Works great. Will send picture of it.Mikes/v Charisma82 H36
