H34 water and holding tank capacities stink..

Dear headmistress. Got any suggestions?? the capacities are way under what I would like to see for freshwater sailing..

H34 Holding Tank capacity stingy 18 gal

Just want to concentrate on the holding tank for now.. about 18 gallons. hoping to find someone who has already successfully modified the H34 for increased holding capacity.

Did you start 2 threads on this same subject? If it wasn't you, most of your questions about increasing holding capacity have already been answered in the other one.

yep, did 2 threads.. H34 hold tank

yes.. did two threads by computer operator error.. but that doesn't help me with where to get capacity expansion for the holding tank, so am hoping one of your readers has specific knowledge on the H34. You had asked me what the capacity was.. so I replied about 18 gallons.. but that doesn't help me with more room.. So got any tricks for 30 gallons of stuff in an 18 gallon box?

You'll prob'ly have to find another location, Jim

Someplace within 6-8' of the toilet that larger tank will fit into.And you may get some ideas by searching the archives to see what others have done.

How about 28 gallons?

Jim,I managed to move from our 18 gal bucket to a 28 gallon tank in the same location. I could have spent more $ and obtained 30+ by usage of a custom tank, but the return on investment for the extra few gallons didn't look inviting. The install is very tight, but a standard tank can be fitted. I replaced mine because the vent line nipple was cracked and it didn't have a cleanout. I purchased the tank from Peggy, from a list of 100's of sizes available. Used Sealand Oderproof and have been very happy with the resultant capacity increase and lack of odor.Jeff JonesH34 Escapade
