H34 sea hood

Hi

Attempting to remove the seahood from my H34 and wondering if anyone knows if there are screws hiding under the track above the companion way? I removed all the others and got most of it free except at the 2 points either side on where the companion way cover slides. Are there screws there? It so I just to keep working at the goo holding down?

If all the sheet metal screws are out and the traveler is off, you should be able to slowly lever the hood up. The screws around the outside of the hood and the traveler hold it down. Takes a lot of patience and slow levering.

So the traveler definitely had to come off first?

Yes, it did on my boat.. There were 4 long machine screws holding the traveler to the deck and the hood to the deck. . The screws thread into imbedded aluminum plates
