H34 Reefing Hardware on Boom

Was there any standard reefing hardware on the boom of the H34? I have the jiffy reefing line through the boom that attaches to a cleat on the mast. The aft end just has a stopper knot so it doesn't pull through. On the aft end of the boom there are no fittings for the reefing line. Should there be a cleat on one side and a block on the other? Same for second reef? Where is the second reef line run since I don't see any more room in the boom? Do I need a winch to tighten the reefing line? All suggestions appreciated! Thank you, Tom

Reef lines

On my 34, I have the starboard side reef line thru the first jiffy reef point, and have the line tied around the boom between the sail slugs. The second reef line is on the port side of the boom, and if rigged, would be thru the second reef point on the sail, tied off at the boom also.the center of the boom end is a pin fitting for the topping lift. I am using the second reef line attached to the topping lift, as I never sailed the boat with the second reef anyway.

Loop it around boom

Per the previous reply, the center line is part of a block and tackle arrangement inside the boom for the car that holds a pin for the main clew. This car is pulled back by a wire that runs out of the top aft part of the boom. Forward, it runs out the bottom center of the boom by the goose-neck as a synthetic line and is tied off on a small cleat under the boom about 18" back from the mast. The port and starboard lines go out at the goose-neck into some cam type line stoppers. These are the reefing lines. At the aft end of the boom, these lines come out and go through the 1st and 2nd reef clews, down under the boom and back up to the reefing clews and tied off to the clews with a small bowline knot. This arrangement is not as neat as the previous posts but allows the clew to be pulled aft and downward more.
