I was wondering if anyone with a H34' has done any inside remodels to their boat? We have done a few but always looking for new ideas. We have redone the bathroom sink area by putting new attractive countertop on with a new sink and new faucets. Looks really good. Also we cut out the last storage compartments on each side of the boat to make a spot for Tv and one spot for computer, you couldn't put much in those compartments anyway and since we took the sliding doors out and cut out the wood it even makes the boat bigger. We want to put the corian countertop sround the kitchen sink area but it is so heavy that I am concerned it might make the boat lean to one side....We live on our boat and would appreciate any new fun ideas.

VARIATIONS

We live on our boat also and I can realize the space problem. We live on a 450 and put new basins in the heads and faucets. We have a tub and shower and put a thermo controlled shower.I found that wall brackets for the TVs worked great for two 25" sets. But I quess 450 is a little more roomier. There now is a corian that is about 1/16" thick and built on a aluminium core somewhat like a bees honeycomb that will not effect your weight.

Good Idea

I live on my 34 also and appreciate your interest in what others have done. I hope that you can compile and perhaps photograph what you do and share with us. Mine could sure use some updating and I am always looking for ways to make it more comfortable and efficient inside. Bruce bchase3@aol.com

Larger galley shelf and microwave stand

Built an elevated microwave stand in the galley with a piece of white 4'x10" shelving board from Home Depo and Aluminum hand rail fittings for about $40 bucks. The shelf runs behind the stove and is supported by two zamak posts made with 4 round base handrail fittings and 7/8" tubing. It's the same height as the existing built in shelf top so it allows access to the existing compartments below. I used the teak shelf fids from inside the rear cabin cabinet to give it that original equipment look.
