H34 Engine mounts

After 35+ years and way too much rattling of my engine that I should change the engine mounts. (learned this from reading the prior H34 threads.) The specs call for two 100 mounts in the front and two 75 mounts in the rear. However, I've been talking with my engine mechanic who says that many of the H34s come with four 100s spaced all around. I think I'd like to use the four 100s to really keep the engine more firmly in place but thought that I would ask the forum first. Any thoughts?

This sounds like one for @Crazy Dave Condon . He's a retired former dealer who knows a lot about these boats. There should be plenty of other members who know these things.
I, on the other hand, have no idea what you're talking about. I know what a motor mount is, but I don't know what 100 or 75 refers to. Sorry.

Mike, I do know that the 3GMF came from Yanmar with the 100/75 mounts and that is what the parts list for the engine has. The 3 cylinder motor naturally shakes a good bit, especially at low RPM, and I think the mounts set the way they are, keep from shaking the boat as much as a 100/100 mount set would allow..

Go with what Yanmar recommends. There is a reason that the forward and rear mounts are different.
