Bulge where regarding compression post
If its a 34 and has never been repaired, it has a compression post problem. But regarding the bulge.. I take it this is in the headliner due abeam of the post.. probably the beam inside there has swelled from water rot.Look also for rot on starboard wall, where it meets bulkhead and dinette seat that covers the holding tank. This would be from water entry under mast, trveling along the athwartships beam to starboard side, as all 34s list to starboard..so water doesn't go to port.Look also at the top of the right side door frame (wood with hinges) and you might see some bowing of the fiberglass in front of compression post, or it may appear that the 1x2 frame is pushing up into the headliner.. again.. rotting athwarthships beam (which is under mast, inside the headliner)or compression post Then go see Haddads repair procedure. If none of this. you are very lucky. Unless all the ports have been rebedded, look for rot around the hinged ports, evidenced by stress crazing on fiber glass liner inside. I love the boat.. but went for mine with an eye to repair. Jim
