To those of you with an H33 and Yanmar 2QM15: what prop are you using? Mine is a 3 blade 12RH13, came on the boat, but I know it wasn't stock.

H33 3-blade

We just put a 14x10 3 blade prop on. We've only been out with it twice but it's a lot more responsive than the old 2 blade. Garry http://www.99main.com/~elmergw/

went from 3 to 2

Stick with a 2 bladed prop if you like to sail your boat. As well that 2qm15 will be much happier and last longer. Your boat won't be able to drag race out of the marina as quickly but she will sail better/faster, and back down better; there isn't much room around the prop on the 33 and with my three bladed prope I got so much cavitation that I couldn't back down unless I really planned on it. On my 2qm20 I went from a 2 bladed 15rh13 to a 3 bladed 15rh12 and absolutely hated it. The engine could handle it but sailing and backing down where horible, she did accelerate quick though, yet it wasn't worth it to me as I love to sail and race my 33, went back to the two bladed prop, anyone want a 3 bladed 15rh12?

Three Blade Only Way to Go

The three blade l4 X l0 is the only way to go on the 33. It makes a lot of difference in the power and I don't notice any drag while sailing. You will never regret having the extra power (thrust) and control that comes with it.
