OK, so the boat is here and we should take delivery soon. One of the things I noticed on the Hunter 33 is a lack of drawer storage. Where do you keep things like silverware and other kitchen utensils?

Ah, one of the bugs on the 33. No drawers in the galley.
We use a plastic cutlery tray and keep it on the shelf above the stove.

Wow

We have 3 drawers in our 36 and a cabinet that holds dishes cups and silver ware, when they changed from the 356 to 36 they changed the galley configfration and I do like the 356 setup better more storage any way but my wife likes the front load ref,we do have a very large cabinet under the nav station so pretty good.
Scott any photo's of your galley.

From the Hunter site. We have a full stove / oven instead of the stove top. Storage under the sink is 1 shelf.

Best idea I've seen was drawers instead of the microwave from a boat listed in the UK, we never use the Microwave except for popcorn the few times we're at the dock, which is seldom.

We ordered the stove in ours as well. I'm sure we'll figure something out once we get the boat. Our 26 had the little PVC six pack for holding the utensils. I don't want to give up the microwave though.

Only other suggestion would be some sort of vertical holder in the cabinet to the left of the stove. It is not very deep, we put wine glasses in there and there's only room for 1 deep.

My wife mentioned that problem also. I suggested finger foods such as cookies, hamburgers etc. Didn't work!
Now she keeps the silver in a plastic tray she got at target and it fits on the shelf.

I have the same problem on my H25 and have decided to source out a dishwasher flatware rack (thing that goes in the bottom in which to stand knives and forks etc) and cut it to fit the cubbyhole I have. This is especially good as it avoids the collection of water which a flat drawer-organizer would not avoid.

I am not one of those who believes in plastic flatware on the boat. (And NOTHING is really ethically 'disposable'.) Everyone gets his own dish, bowl, mug, glass, knife, fork, two spoons and a steak knife. Wash your own stuff (as soon as you're done) or go without.

Besides I happen to enjoy that ridiculous jangle of metal flatware clattering in the racks when you pound over tugboat wakes. Maybe it's just me. ;)

Finally got to see the boat today. Their is a silverware basket that goes in the dish locker, which has the dish rack and is self draining (I didn't know that)
