H33 3YM30 Mounting Bolt Issue

The aft starboard mounting bolt on my Yanmar will not tighten, is there supposed to be an embedded threaded fitting in the H33 hull?

Any ideas on the best repair procedure for this problem?

Maybe different on newer boats. On my '79 there are wood stringers under the fiberglass. Did you back out the bolt? It should be a lag screw and you would see sawdust on it if like mine. If so then there are a few recommended fixes. I just put a piece of wood in and put the screw back. Might do it with an epoxy mix if I found the wood to be wet.

I haven't pulled it out, it just spins, the boat is on the hard and I will be able to get to it, it is one of two bolts that attach that engine mount to the frame. All the other bolts are tight.

You'll need to pry as you turn. Or maybe vise grips will pull it straight up if you have room. I have one like that needing attention this winter. Here is a link to a fix with epoxy: http://www.rotdoctor.com/glass/GLrotrepair.html#engine .
