H326 fuel shut-off

I recently changed both fuel filters (Racor and Yanmar (on engine)) on my 2003 Hunter 326. The only way I could shut off fuel flow during the work was to clamp the rubber fuel line with a vice-grip pliers - awkward at best. Is there a fuel shut off that I couldn't find or was my approach the only option?

Isn't there one at the tank?

There should be a shutoff at the top of the tank where the line attaches unless Hunter stopped putting it there for some reason. Your approach sounds quicker and easier though...

I took a quick look there since it is difficult to get to through the port swim platform locker. I'll look again, thanks!
