Thanks, Fast. I was at the boat and measured. However, to order the correct dripless kit, I also need to knew the shaft tube size, and I couldn't measure that with the boot on. I followed the instructions given in another post and actually managed to reduce, though not eliminate the leakage, down to a half cup a day. As this is a potentially catastrophic part, I will replace at haul out, which is now on the critical to do list.
