Forestay Measurement
If you are going to replace the furler right away, you can run a halyard or two from the top of the mast to the bow to replace the forestay. Disassemble the furler drum so you can measure the current stay. Otherwise, you can have someone hoist you up the mast and take a measurement at the top of the furler donut where the stay connects to the mast. Because the furler stresses and loads up the forestay, I would recommend you go one size larger than the current forestay. You choice, just a little added insurance for a few more dollars.
