H31 Dinette Seat Inspection Port

I wonder if anyone has any idea why Hunter put an inspection port into the wooden seat of the forward dinette bench since the seat is completely open under the dinette anyway. Just noticed the port on the aisle side of the seat when I removed the cushion for cleaning and wonder what it might have been for, possibly in other iterations of this boat.

Mine has an IP in the same area but in the cabin sole, not in the seat. It's for access to tighten the nut on top of the keel. Maybe a previous owner installed the extra port and used a long extension for better leverage?

That's and interesting idea. I'll just have to empty out under the seat to see if there's another port below.
