Just got a new 135% Genoa for my '84 H31 from The Sail Warehouse. Very good quality sail, off shore quality. 7.5 oz double and triple stitched.
It's supposed to be a stock sail cut specifically for the H31, but the clew seems to high to me. I have to adjust the jibsheet block further back than on the stock 150% genoa I had. I can't seem to adjust the blocks to get a good trim from top to bottom. Anyone else experience this kind of problem? The measurements on this sail are Luff:40.5 Leach:37.60 Foot:17.5. It says on the sailbag that this sail is also a 135% on a Catalina 32.... that seems odd to me? This new sail also has a foam luff pad, that I have no experience with and it is very hard to roll up. The old 150% rolled up fairly easy.
What is the best overall furling headsail for the H31? What are the measurements supposed to be on a 135% genoa for the H31? What are the measurments on your sails and what's your favorite one?
Thank you!
